As taxi drivers, the safety our passengers is our top priority. Just because you're in a taxi, it doesn't mean that the normal road risks don't apply. As responsible cab drivers, we need to be on the lookout for potential problems all the time, and be prepared. |
Buckle Up
It is the law that all passengers should wear a seat belt, so we'll always ask our passengers to buckle up when they get into the taxi. Conversely, licensed taxi drivers who are plying for trade don' t legally need to wear a seat belt, but we strongly advise our drivers to do so.
We Don't Take Risks
Sometimes passengers are in a real hurry to get to their destination, but we are never tempted to speed or take unnecessary risks on the road, even if you ask us to. This is for your own safety as well as ours.
PVG/Disclosure Scotland Scheme
All our drivers are required to join the PVG/Discloure Scotland scheme. Being a scheme member allows a driver to undertake regulated work with children and vulnerable adults.
